Machine vision based inspection system for quality control

Intelligent vision guidance! MAG Visor3D brings significant benefits compared to traditional solutions: higher speed and better accuracy for on-line quality control. The solution is based on a combination of a 2D grayscale image and a 2D topography image. Together they provide comprehensive information about an object’s surface and Z-axis analysis.

Measuring is based on laser triangulation

The measuring is based on laser triangulation: laser beam is projected on a moving object whereby the high-speed machine vision camera continuously measures the laser beam’s location on the object. Likewise, a high-quality 3D topography image is formed from successive measurements and machine vision software analyzes the image and performs necessary inspection tasks.

Objects are analyzed by using a built-in image analysis tools or an industrial PC. In case an error is detected, the system produces an output signal (I/O) which are used to reject the faulty product or stop the conveyor system.

The solution is nearly immune to changes in the lighting environment.
The resolution of the 3D vision system is higher than that of traditional systems!
